INITIATIVE SUMMARY
The "Sulong Igorot" project is aimed at promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of the Igorot people, especially in the Cordillera region, where the Igorot people have faced challenges in preserving their cultural heritage due to the influence of modernization and the lack of support and recognition from the government and the general public. According to a study conducted by L. Sagada et al. (2020), the Igorot people are one of the ethnic groups in the Philippines that have experienced marginalization, neglect, and misrepresentation in national discourse.
The project will leverage modern media and communication tools to create digital content that showcases the richness and diversity of Igorot culture. This includes the creation of videos, blogs, and social media campaigns that will be disseminated through the project’s channels to reach a wider audience. Through this, the project aims to provide a more accurate and inclusive representation of Igorot culture, which can help address the lack of recognition of Igorot culture by the government and the wider society.

Our Mission.
What do we stand for?
Our mission is to promote and preserve the cultural heritage of the Igorot people by utilizing modern media and communication tools to create digital content that showcases the richness and diversity of Igorot culture. We aim to provide an accurate and inclusive representation of Igorot culture and to empower the Igorot community through cultural awareness, pride, and cultural tourism.
Our Vision.
What do we envision?
Our vision is a future where the Igorot cultural heritage is recognized and celebrated, both locally and globally. We envision a world where the Igorot community is empowered and proud of their cultural heritage, where non-Igorot Filipinos and tourists have a greater understanding and appreciation of Igorot culture, and where the preservation and protection of Igorot cultural heritage are given utmost importance.
